Rhea Stephenson

Rhea Stephenson is a proud Nugi-Nunukal and Mununjali woman from Southeast Queensland who has worked across film and television for more than a decade.

Rhea began her career on the landmark series First Australians produced by Blackfella Films, which sparked her journey in the screen industry. Through her company Wedge Tail Media, she went on to produce short-form projects including Abalone, Scar and the ABC comedy web series Woollo 2011, and co-produced the short film The Party Shoes and the award-winning short film Jacob, which won a Gold Shorts Award at Flickerfest and screened at imagineNATIVE.

 

Rhea is Head of Production at No Coincidence Media, where she manages the company’s growing slate of feature film,  television and documentary projects from development through to production, while also producing across the slate. She is currently producing a six-part, one-hour documentary series for SBS and NITV. Her recent credits also include executive producing the short film A Grief Encounter (ABC/NITV) and producing Bukal Bukal (NITV).
