FEATURE FILM
DOCUMENTARY

Bringing to light the heartbreaking experiences of Rita, Violet and the Wenberg sisters, Servant Or Slave celebrates their fortitude in pursuing justice for the crimes committed against them. Their firsthand accounts of officially sanctioned enslavement reveal the true intent of the government policy 'protection' prevalent throughout the twentieth century. Theirs is a David and Goliath battle, waged not only for personal healing, but to shed light on a barley acknowledged part of modern Australian history whose consequences are still felt today.

4 X SEASONS
DOCUMENTARY SERIES

NCM started out producing four seasons of the documentary series Colour Theory on NITV and SBS. A collection of 20 x 30-minute documentaries hosted by provocative artist and political activist Richard Bell (seasons 1 & 2) and Tony Albert (seasons 3 & 4), who travel to the ancestral homelands of First Nations artists across Australia, looking at how country and culture inspire their modern form of art, and documenting their creative processes from inception through to production and exhibition.

In the fourth edition of Colour Theory (Colour Theory Underground), Tony Albert introduces the audience to the world of street art. Opening the door to artists who are secretive by nature, usually hiding their identity and codifying their work, due to the misunderstanding that graffiti or stencil works are acts of vandalism.
